Interchange Gear Pumps was founded in 1985 as a fluid power sales and service company. By 1988, we realized there was a demand for short run, special application pumps. Over the next three years, our research identified pumps that were often available only in large quantities with very expensive tooling costs. Our goal was to find ways to provide high quality pumps in smaller quantities and with little or no tooling expenses.

We accomplished this by developing and utilizing new manufacturing techniques, such as: specialized machining fixtures and flexible, multi-use casting patterns. We also decided to focus on gear pumps and motors with a maximum of 3-cubic inch displacement.

In the past decade, we have manufactured over 8000 different units, in quantities of 1 to 100. Interchange provides pumps to all aspects of the mobile equipment industry and is a certified supplier to a number of large OEMs.

As Interchange Gear Pumps looks to the future, our foundation of quality units, proven designs, in customer required quantities, with little or no tooling expenses will support all the new and exciting projects our customers demand.
